Finally, April arrived. I think it’s one of my favorite months of the year, with August’s permission, do not be angry! In April after the gloom of winter, the days lengthen, spring surprises us with its days of heat, rain and sometimes even snow, but always with joy, knowing that we are already heading inexorably to the period of good weather and celebrations outdoor.

Because yes friends, in April we can say that the BBC begins, the season of Weddings, Baptisms and Communions! I think that’s one of the reasons why I love this month.

I still remember the first time I was in charge of catering at a wedding. It was in a house with a beautiful garden not far from Madrid. The bride was from Madrid and the groom from Texas and of course, imagine joining families and friends from both sides … a wedding at home but in style, more fun impossible!
They put their trust in En Tus Fogones and we created a cocktail and a buffet that did not leave anyone indifferent. The Americans enjoyed tasting salmorejo from the best tomatoes of the orchard, organic meats from Madrid, an incredible selection of cheeses that we offered in our cheese bar or the best Iberian ham from the Dehesa de Extremadura … and by the Spanish part does not stop surprising either, do not go thinking that we left something to chance!
In this wedding I had the luck to learn from one of the best maitre , who taught me among many things, one that I will never forget – “there is nothing better than enjoying doing your job” – so I I put it into practice from the first moment and transmitted it to my beloved team. I say this, because in many of the weddings I have attended as a guest, it was all quite impersonal (another wedding and the next …) and En Tus Fogones does not work that way.

From the first moment all the team, from the management, kitchen, waiters … is involved and soaked with the joy and emotion of the couple and that shows. It pampers and takes care of every detail in the flavors, in the decoration, in the personnel, the location … looking to make of that moment, THE MOMENT, and it is that for me, to see that a wedding is perfect and that both the guests and the couple They enjoy when you do your job well, it is the best satisfaction in the world.
Each wedding is special, I tell you from experience.

No two couples are the same and we know it, but that is why we love our work, because each celebration we participate in means to be part of your lives, of those moments that will always be remembered in the memory as well as on the palate of all assistants and that dear little stoves, it’s great!

We are looking forward to hearing the first – “Long live the bride and groom!” – this spring and continue to be part of your lives.
